Standard Three Presentation
Standard 3: A physically
literate individual demonstrates the knowledge and skills
to achieve and
maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.
Goal
The goal of physical
education is to develop physically literate individuals who have the knowledge,
skills, and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity. To
pursue a lifetime of healthy physical activity, a physically literate
individual:
1. Has learned the skills necessary to participate in a variety of
physical activities.
2. Knows the implications and benefits of involvement in various
types of physical activities.
3. Participates regularly in physical activity.
4. Is physically fit.
5. Values physical activity and its contributions to a healthful
lifestyle.
Standard Three
Below are
learning targets that you can demonstrate in your presentation.
Standard Three A
physically literate individual demonstrates the knowledge and skills to
achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and
fitness. Learning Targets |
1.) Identify the physical fitness requirements of an
occupation. |
2.) Identify and list available fitness resources in the
community. |
3.) Explain the relationship between participation in dance
activities and health. |
4.) Demonstrate and explain the techniques and concepts of two
types of weight-training Programs. |
1. Choose between
a Photo Presentation or Video Presentation.

Photo Presentation: minimum
of five photos and a description for each photo
·
Video Presentation: minimum
of one minute and a maximum of five minutes
2. Choose one of the four learning targets to
complete your presentation.
3. Demonstrate the learning target either by
photo or video presentation.
Assignment
Please
create a fitness plan that you can do going forward in your life to help you
with being physically healthy.

times a week to fulfill a physical component for your health)
